Welcome to the home for the Twelfth Precinct Pistol and Archery Club on the world wide web.  Activities are held both indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather, throughout the year!  The goal of Twelfth Precinct Pistol and Archery is to encourage organized firearms shooting and archery among citizens of the United States, with a view toward a better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe and proper handling and care of firearms and archery equipment, to improve their marksmanship and develop Olympic competitors.

We further endeavor to provide for the mutual improvement of its members by encouraging and stimulating an interest in outdoor sports, including but not limited to firearms shooting and archery, and by encouraging among the members closer personal acquaintance and a friendly spirit of mutual cooperation, and to promote the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

In 2008 and 2009, the Club hosted the Maryland State Pistol Championship, the Maryland State Air Pistol matches, and the two-day Chesapeake Classic NFAA field archery tournament.

Regular activities include monthly NRA registered outdoor pistol tournaments (2700), a .22 rimfire rifle league, NRA-approved air pistol matches, four pistol leagues annually, air pistol league, NRA-certified training courses, 3D archery league shoots, NFAA field shoots, and a youth program including air rifle and archery.  See our Membership page for information on how to join the Club.

Public Access Hours.  The members of Twelfth Precinct Pistol and Archery Club invite you to visit our facility to participate in bullseye pistol, air pistol, fun shoots, 3D archery, and NFAA archery shoots.  See our Pistol, Archery, and Youth pages for more information.

The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the individual right to keep and bear arms!

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to
possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and
to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as
self-defense within the home." --SCOTUS 6-26-08

The Twelfth Precinct (12 PPC) had the honor of hosting a Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) photo shoot with Anton Antonowicz, the US editor of the London Daily Mirror.  Dick Heller, the focus of the DC gun ban hearing at the Supreme Court on March 18, his wife, Jane, his legal consultant, Dane Van Breichenruchardt, and Maryland and DC SAS coordinators and members enjoyed an afternoon of shooting with both guns and cameras!
